Triditional Rummy Tournaments
Traditional Rummy Tournaments - Feel the Thrill!
Rummy is an exciting group of games based on the skill and concentration of its participants. The element of competition makes every game a dynamic and thrilling event. Online rummy tournaments bring players from all over the world together for a unique gaming experience. Traditional Rummy tournaments often carry attractive prizes and other benefits.
When rummy tournaments open for registration, players can register and show up when the tourney is scheduled to start. The tournament is a multiplayer event where at any stage players can be eliminated, while others advance in playing towards the top places.
Tournament prizes are usually determined by the buy-in and the number of participants (unless stated otherwise). The more players a tourney has, and the higher its buy-in - the more likely it is to have a highly attractive prize.
A tournament usually ends with four finalists playing at the final table. Those players will win the majority of the pot.
There are 2 main types of tournaments inside our game room. The first one is an elimination tournament. In this type of tournament, there is a predetermined elimination threshold, and players that reach this threshold or exceed it are eliminated. This tournament type correlates with the special scoring system of the rummy games, in which players receive penalty points at the end of each round, per cards left in their hand. Therefore, the last player remaining at the table after all others have been eliminated is the first place winner. This type of tournaments fits both single table tourney and multi-table tourneys.
The second type of tournament was added later and that's Points Tournament. This type of tournament play fits the game of Rummy 500. In Rummy 500, the scoring system changes a bit. Here players get positive points per the cards they melded on the table, and so the winner of a round or game, is the player who reaches or exceeds the predetermined target score first.
There are various types of rummy tournaments, each with its own traits and characteristics. Players can enjoy fast paced turbo and speed tourneys, as well as qualifier tourneys (for cheap entry into bigger, more expensive events), guaranteed cash prize tourneys for a large number of players. The application also offers more specific tournaments such as beginners' tables, royal stars club members, added prize tourneys, and other types of competitions.
